Cameron began their 2020 fall season with a 306 in their first competitive round since last February. They followed that up with a second round score of 314, giving them a 620 through 36 holes. They currently trail the tournament leader and host DBU by 61 strokes, after the Lady Patriots carded two sub-290 scores.

The Aggies’ strong first round was led by freshman Maelle Dreyer, who carded a 75 during her first collegiate round. Kyndall Morgan followed with a 76, with Iona Roska carding a 77, and Gerdur Ragnarsdottir adding a 78 to give CU their 306.

Morgan had the low round during the latter half of the day, shooting a 75 to lead CU in the clubhouse with a 151, which has her just inside of the top-20 individually. Ragnarsdottir improved her first round score by one stroke and has a 155 through 36 holes, while Dreyer (156), Roska (158), and Emma Englefield (163) each shot 81 during the second round.

Competing as an individual from Cameron, Ellie Fellers has a 164 through two rounds.

Statistically, Dreyer and Ragnarsdottir both have five birdies through day one at the Wildhorse Golf Course, and the veteran Morgan tallied 25 pars, which is tied for second best in the field.

DBU leads the field by 44 strokes, with UT Tyler holding up the second place spot with a 603. West Texas A&M (610) and UAFS (614) come in just ahead of the Aggies in third and fourth place. Midwestern State is just a stroke back of CU, while Colorado Christian, Westminster College (UT), and Lubbock Christian rounded out the field.

The Lady Patriots have five players inside the top-10 individually, with Olivia Mitchell leading the way with two sub-70 scores to give her a 134 through two rounds.

Cameron will look to move up the leaderboard on Tuesday, as they complete the DBU Classic with the final 18 holes beginning with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start. Live scoring is available for the final round.
