TAHLEQUAH, Okla. – The Cameron women’s tennis team fell 5-2 in a road match against a tough Northeastern State team on Saturday afternoon.

After winning their exhibition against Seward County CC on Friday, the Aggie women had a much tougher test against the Riverhawks.

In the No. 2 doubles battle, Melany Opolz and Alex Lopez fell 6-2 to make it a clean sweep for NSU.

The Aggies’ lone wins of the match came from Lopez and Savina. Lopez earned a comeback 1-6, 7-6, 10-6 win at No. 2, while Savina defeated her opponent 3-6, 7-5, 15-13 at No. 4. The other three-set battle came at No. 1, where Polunova took the third ranked Tatjana Stoll to three sets, falling 6-0, 2-6, 6-4.
