Women’s golf in eighth at Oklahoma Intercollegiate

LAWTON, Okla. – After one round of play, the Aggie women’s golf team is in eighth place at the Oklahoma Intercollegiate with a first round score of 319.
 
Cameron is currently 22 strokes back of the event leader, which is Tarleton State, after they carded a 297 through the first round of play at the Lawton Country Club.
 
Kyndall Morgan had the low round of the day for CU, shooting a 77, which has her tied for 14th individually, Allison Duffin is just a stroke back of her teammate with a 78, while Iona Roska is tied for 25th with a 79. Kennedy Wheeler struggled on Monday, shooting an 85, while freshman Gerdur Ragnarsdottir had the throw away score of 89.
 
Morgan and Duffin each have two birdies through 18 holes, and Morgan is shooting one under on the par five hole. Additionally, Roska has a team high 11 pars.
 
The Black and Gold also have three individuals competing, as Molleejo Crain shot an 81, Sabrina Stedman had an 86, and Hayden Brewer shot a 96.

TSU leads the tournament by just one stroke, as Oklahoma Christian is right on their tails. The next lowest score belongs to Angelo State, who shot a 307 on Monday, while Texas A&M-International is in fifth with a 309.
 
Cameron will look improve and move up the leaderboards in the second round of the Oklahoma Intercollegiate, which will tee of Tuesday morning at 9 a.m.
