Volunteers for Home and Garden Festival
The sparkling white and chill of winter has surrounded us for awhile and perhaps you may have a touch of cabin fever. The Cure? Envelope yourself in the spring time feeling of the 2010 Arts Alive! Home and Garden Festival.
The Kemp Center For The Arts would like to invite you to volunteer to be part of the exciting 2010 Arts Alive! Home and Garden Festival.. “No Place Like Home” is our theme at the thirteenth annual Arts Alive! Home and Garden Festival in Wichita Falls, Texas. The 2010 show will be held on February 27 – 28, 9 A.M. – 6 P.M. on Saturday and 11 A.M. – 5 P.M. on Sunday at the MPEC Ray Clymer Exhibit Hall in Wichita Falls.
This is a fund raiser for the Kemp Center For The Arts and make it possible to provide art programs for the community. We will need volunteers to work in all areas of the project such as hospitality, assisting vendors, tickets sales, and providing information. We will also need help in sitting up before the event on Friday, February 26th.
We will be offering training and information on Thursday February 25th. At that time you will receive a free tee-shirt with the logo of the festival.
It would be a wonderful opportunity for an organization or a business to gather a group to volunteer together. You could fulfill your obligation for service credits for your organization.
If you would like the opportunity to volunteer for this great event please contact Katie McGinley at the Kemp by phoning 940-767-2787 or by e-mail at katiem@kempcenter.org.
You may purchase tickets from many locations including: Georgann’s Craft Mall, Smith’s Gardentown Farms, Builders Wholesale and the Kemp Center for the Arts. Tickets are $6.00 per person, $5.00 for active military, and $4.00 in advance.
The proceeds from this event will assist in bringing additional artists and presentation for the Kemp Center for the Arts. The 2010 Home and Garden Festival will be a great experience for your whole family giving them ideas on how to create a pleasant oasis for your home and garden because we all know there is “No Place Like Home”.
